Cadpak HD100 is a heavy duty foil barrier film used where very low oxygen and moisture levels are required. It is silver in color with a green interior sealant layer. The film has red Mil Spec printing on exterior silver layer. It is used extensively in military applications where a cost-effective, heavy duty, high barrier material is required. Typical uses are vacuum crating and pouches for moisture/oxygen sensitive items. Product protection inside export crating is another common application for this film.

Hollytex is a white, non-woven, spunbound polyester fabric used for interleaving, restoration or support. Hollytex is manufactured using continuous filament polyester fibers that have been compacted by a unique process involving simultaneous application of heat, pressure, and tension for a carefully controlled length of time. The result is an ultra-smooth finish. The randomly arranged, continuous filament structure, and compacting of Hollytex endow it with an exceptional combination of physical properties. Among the distinguishing characteristics of Hollytex are high tensile and tear strength, no media migration, non-raveling edges, good chemical resistance to acids, oxidizing agents and solvents, good dimensional stability in all directions, resistance to rot and mildew. Hollytex does not contain any resins, sizing or binders. The chemical and thermal properties of Hollytex are essentially those of polyester fiber.
Hollytex will have a smoother surface than Reemay. This material can also be thermally and ultrasonically welded.

When exposed to oxygen, the Ageless Eye turns from pink to blue or purple, then returns to its original pink color as the oxygen in the sealed package is reduced. The lower the temperature, the slower the color change on the indicator. The color change is reversible, and Ageless Eyes can be reused up to four times.
Ageless Eye comes in a sealed pack of 25 individually sealed units. The tablet reacts immediately in the individual plastic bag surrounding it as soon as it is removed from the outer bag. The small bag surrounding the individual tablet should NOT be opened. Unused Ageless Eye should be stored in an oxygen free environment in a cool (below 15 degrees C) dark place. If the entire pack of 25 is not used, the unused portion should be stored again in a freshly made oxygen free environment consisting of Escal and RP Absorber.
The shelf life of the Ageless Eye should not exceed 6-12 months. This means it should be relied as an initial monitor within the package to confirm oxygen has been depleted, but should not be relied on for long term. Normal air contains 21% oxygen, so when oxygen is removed by a scavenger a slight vacuum will be created in a sealed pouch if most available air was removed before closure. The continued vacuum is an additional confirmation that oxygen is free from the environment.

In recent years the Ageless Eye has been found to have mixed results for accuracy. It is still a useful and helpful tooll in creating anoxic environments, but should be relied on with caution.
