\r\n\r\nAcrysol ASE-60 is an acid containing, cross-linked acrylic emulsion co-polymer. When the emulsion is diluted with water and neutralized with a base, each emulsion particle swells greatly. The emulsion clarifies under these conditions and becomes highly viscous.\r\n

\r\n\r\nAcrysol ASE-60 is effective in improving low shear rate (Brookfield) viscosity, resulting in paints that have highly shear thinning characteristics. Paints formulated with Acrysol ASE-60 as a sole thickener exhibit a high yield value or gel structure. This structure develops upon removal of shear, hence Acrysol ASE-60 is suited to the development of moderately textured paints.

\r\n\r\nAs Acrysol ASE-60 is non-cellulosic, it offers a high degree of resistance to bacterial and enzymatic attack, resulting in long term paint viscosity stability. It is also recommended for use in textured paints, or as a secondary thickener to control sagging in paints having too much flow.\r\n

\r\n\r\nAcrysol WS-24 is an acrylic dispersion resin which is supplied in water and can be solubility readily to combine the advantages of outstanding flow and pigment dispersion characteristic of solution polymers with some of the toughness of emulsion polymers. Both clear and pigmented films can be formed at room temperature or by force drying. Commonly used for consolidating plaster, wall paintings, bones, and material from archaeological sites.

\r\n\r\nThe Lascaux 303 HV is a thermoplastic copolymer butyl-methacrylate dispersion thickened with acrylic butyl-ester. pH 8-9 and is biocide stabilized. Extremely elastic; the dry film remains permanently tacky. Can be used as a contact adhesive when doing hot-sealing linings. Water thinnable, insoluble in water when dry. Permanently soluble in acetone, toluene, xylene, etc. Insoluble in White sprints, V.M.&P. Naptha, etc.  This product has replaced Lascaux 360.

\r\n\r\nThe Lascaux 498 HV and 498-20X are the same adhesive, however the 20X is thinned with 20% xylene which makes for a faster drying adhesive. Both are well suited for strip-lining, fabric marouflage, mounting and hobby adhesive. Water thinnable, insoluble in water when dry. Permanently soluble in acetone, toluene, xylene, etc. Insoluble in White spirits, V.M.&P Naptha, etc.

Methyl Cellulose (methylcellulose) is an adhesive with a wide variety of applications. Commonly used as a bookbinding adhesive for paper, as well as sizing papers and fabrics, thickening water baths for marbling paper, used to loosen and clean off old glue from spines and book boards, or added to PVA to slow down its drying time.

The adhesive forms a matte finish when used in dilute solutions. The powder mixes easily with cold water and with wheat paste and other adhesives. It is non-staining, will not discolor paper, will not decompose in dry or liquid state and is not affected by heat or freezing. Forms a highly flexible bond but is a weak adhesive.
Viscosity: 1312-2450 cPs at 2% in water, pH 7.0.

After an exhausting search we have found the finest rabbit skin available. 

This new version is a very small granular form.

 

Rabbit skin glue is a traditional adhesive made from the collagen found in rabbit hides. It's commonly used in art conservation, bookbinding, and in the preparation of surfaces for painting. 

 

As an Adhesive it is used to bond surfaces in bookbinding and for attaching materials like canvas to wood panels. 

Ground for Painting artists will sometimes use it as a component in gesso, a primer for preparing surfaces for painting, particularly in oil painting. 

 

Rabbit skin glue can also  be diluted with water to create a sizing mixture that helps to seal porous surfaces, making them suitable for painting. 

 

In addition, some varnishes for paintings incorporate rabbit skin glue, contributing to the overall finish and durability. 

 

Conservators use rabbit skin glue to reattach layers and fix tears in artworks and manuscripts due to its reversible nature when rehydrated. When using rabbit skin glue, it's important to prepare it properly by heating it in water, and to use it while it's warm, as it can become less effective as it cools.
