Leather Saver will form a bond with the leather fibers, preventing it from washing out or migrating in the leather. Made from the finest oils available, it will not leave the leather dark or oily feeling. This leather conditioner does not contain sulfur which can cause premature deterioration to the leather and stitching.

\r\n\r\n\r\nSome reasons why Leather Saver is different from other leather conditioners:
\r\n\r\n\r\n* Will not darken the leather with age.
\r\n\r\n* Will not oxidize.
\r\n* Fast penetration.
\r\n* Will not migrate in the leather. Many leather conditioners are made from neutral oils such as Neats Foot Oil, Olive Oil, Mineral Oil and Vaseline and do not form a bond with the leather. These oils also leave the leather heavy and oily.
\r\n* Will not build acid in the leather. Some leather conditioners are made from sulfated oils, which will build sulfuric acid in the leather and eventually cause deterioration.
\r\n* Does not contain humectants such as glycerin or glycol, which encapsulate moisture and lead to mold growth and “sticky\" leather.
\r\n* Is non-toxic.
\r\n* Has an indefinite shelf life.

SC6000 is a blend of waxes and an acrylic resin emulsified in aqueous iso propyl alcohol. It was originally developed as a surface coating for commercial shoe leathers. Its used as part of a system for treating bookbinding leathers was first proposed in the early 1980s. Since then it has been used widely by bookbinders and book conservators. Further work was carried out in 2001 comparing this product with other materials used as surface coatings in the leather manufacturing industry. 8oz. container.
