Our boards are stiffer and are an ideal material for boxmaking and backer board. They are perfect for all of your preservation and storage needs.
Corrugated board (or cardboard) is made from two sheets of paper glued to a corrugated inner medium called fluting. Corrugated boards are assembled in a way such that the overall result is far stronger than each distinct layer.
This multi-use acid free board is blue/gray on one side and white on the other, making it perfectly suited for framing, box making, and other types of enclosures where the objects can sit against a non-pigmented surface, while still maintaining the traditional blue/gray color on the outside. This paper which the board is constructed provides the strongest and most rigid sheet on the market, while still maintaining superior folding characteristics.
Also great as support panels and work surfaces in conservation labs and printshops, and as shelf liners, dividers or as an artist's material.
Explanation of Board Types:
E-Flute Cardboard (1.6mm, 1/16\" thick). The E-flute is a very thin corrugated board which means it folds wonderfully and makes beautiful boxes. Commonly used on digital CAD cutters like the box machine we have here at TALAS.
E-PLUS Flute Cardboard (1.7mm thick). This board is similar to the regular E-flute, however the top layer of board is a heavier weight paper making the board much stronger and more rigid. This board combines the toughness of a solid board with the folding characteristics of a corrugated board.
B-Flute Cardboard (3mm thick, 1/8\" thick) This board is the \"standard\" and most commonly used all around board. A B-Flute board is the same thickness as a standard brown shipping box is constructed with.
BB-Flute Cardboard (6mm thick, 1/4\" thick) This board is our strongest and most rigid corrugated board. The BB-flute is a double wall archival board made from essentially two layers of B-flute.

Revolutionizing the standard for Archival mounting and framing backing boards, this panel is thinner than most with amazing rigidity and flatness; with all the same amazing archival properties and longevity as our Heritage corrugated boards and papers.
This board is incredibly thin, lightweight, and stable. Manufactured by taking sheets of Archival corrugated board, gluing them together into a huge stack and slicing it like a cake. This creates the core, and then additional sheets of facing paper are added to make a panel. The results is a super strong, thin panel.
Sheets are 0.28\" thick - 49.5\" x 78.75\" in size. (7mm - 126cm x 200cm)

The most dimensionally stable fiber based mounting board on the market, period. Also referred to as Hexamount.
Amazing as a backing in large frames, using as supports in boxes, trays, or spanning supports on shelving. Here at Talas we use a lot of this material that we incorporate into the walls of our custom boxes, or laying into the base of a box when a customer requires additional weight bearing support.
It is a very versatile material, easily cut with a knife, and incredibly lightweight. Both the honeycomb core as well as the facing papers are constructed of pure alpha cellulose fiber buffered with calcium carbonate, pH of 8 and have passed the PAT test.
Panels are 47.5 x 88.5 inches (approximately 120 x 225cm) in size and 1/2 inch (1.27cm) thick.
