An archival quality pressure sensitive, thin, transparent paper tape made from a special acid and wood free paper and long lasting non yellowing adhesive. Once burnished down it virtually disappears into the paper, leaving a mend that both looks and feels like the original page. Both the adhesive and paper are buffered with Calcium Carbonate making the tape slightly alkaline (pH ~9.2) to counter any acids in the paper it is applied to.

\r\n\r\nWe recommend that the tape be burnished upon application with a bone folder to achieve the optimum in transparency. Suitable for mending tears in pages, hinging light weight photographs and prints and reinforcing folds in maps and other papers. Can be used as for labels, and will stick to Mylar.

Paper weight is 20gsm, with a solvent, acid, and phthalate-free non-yellowing archival adhesive which will remain permanently elastic and not dry out.

Convenient double sided tapes in narrow widths with three adhesive options.  Great for use of paper, prints, photographs and other mounting applications.  The Gudy DS products feature a solvent-free, ageing resistant, and permanently elastic adhesive that does not become brittle or bleed over time.  All types of Gudy DS have passed the Photo Activity Test (ISO 18916) and wound on rolls with a silicone paper backing on one side.

The Gudy DS 10 (Reversible / Reversible) features a removable adhesive on both sides that has a reduced initial tack that can be removed or repositioned from smooth surfaces for up to 24 hours.  After this time the bond will increase.

The Gudy DS 11 (Reversible / Permanent) features a removable adhesive on one side, and a permanent adhesive on the other.  The removable side has a reduced initial tack that can be removed or repositioned from smooth surfaces for up to 24 hours, while the other side bonds permanently right away.  After 24 hours both sides will have the same bond.

The Gudy DS 12 (Permanent / Permanent) features a permanent adhesive on both sides that has a strong initial tack that sets right away.

Silicone surfaces are designed to resist adhesion, and while this tape is formulated to have tack to silicone it is not as aggressive a bond as one may be used to with sticky tapes on traditional surfaces.  

Tape is heat resistant to 425 degrees F.
