\r\n\r\nThe material’s dimensional stability, water permeability, wicking and fast drying capabilities recommend it as a support for wet treatments on textiles and paper. The continuous fibre network is anti-wrinkle and, having no loose surface fibers, the chance of snagging objects is minimized. Evolon CR can function as a dry support for textiles and may be sewn through and welded. It can also be used as an intermediate layer on suction tables.\r\n\r\nFor wet, or dry cleaning, Evolon© CR has just the right degree of softness. It is lint free, absorbent, fray resistant, does not shed fibres, has a high dirt capacity, and is very durable. There are no binders, fillers or water soluble media, it can be washed at high temperatures, and is re-usable many times over.

\r\n\r\nEvolon CR has outstandingly good drape and will conform well to unevenly shaped items. This makes it highly suitable for wrapping objects and works of art for transport and storage. The soft nature of the material is compatible with the surfaces of high-gloss modern media such as polished steel, chromium plate and plastics. The dense fibre web is abrasion resistant and traps air thus providing some thermal insulation.

\r\n\r\nThese properties, along with, high UV resistance, unusual strength and non-directional structure make Evolon CR an outstanding solution for so many requirements.

Evolon AP is a high tech non-woven polyester/nylon microfiber paper that loves ink!  Evolon AP is archival and acid free. It is soft, beautiful to the touch yet incredibly strong and resilient. It whisks away and equalizes moisture yet is is remarkably resistant to mold. It does not stretch or tear even under pressure. Due to its lightweight and dimensionally stable properties, Evolon AP is an unbelievable product in the book conservation and art restoration fields. It can be used in chine colle or as a backing for fragile papers.

-Evolon can be used like canvas.  Doesn't need to be primed since linseed oil won't hurt it.  There are no layers to worry about.  Foolproof for stretching and never sags.
-Evolon can be misted with a spray bottle to emulsify a dry medium.  Then you can even draw on it.
-Evolon dries flat.  Does not stretch and maintains perfect registration.
-Evolon dampens instantly but with some inks prints well when dry.  A clay monoprinting favorite.
-It loves ink no matter what plate you serve it on.  Intaglio, litho, letterpress, monoprint.
-It can blot up to 5 times its weight in water.
-Always dries back rapidly and absolutely flat.  However if you wring it when wet or launder it it will turn into a soft fabric that can be sewn

Rayon Thick Paper : Conservation paper used for \"Capillary Cleaning\". This heavier weight paper is often used in place of blotting paper. It is stronger and thinner than blotting paper so it can be used for large objects or moved while wet without tearing. A layer of the thinner Usukuchi Rayon paper is usually spread over the object first. Paper is laid down wet on the table, then the painting is moistened and put over the wet \"paper\" to remove or lessen staining.

Sympatex is ideally used for humidification, allowing humidity to reach the object (photograph, paper, parchment, etc) without wetting it. Often used as an easy and inexpensive technique for the humidification method of removing residual adhesive, old linings and stains from water sensitive objects. 

Sympatex is windproof, waterproof, breathable, washable and dry cleanable. It can also be ultrasonically and thermally welded. The filament construction provides added strength and minimizes fiber migration. 

Sympatex is available in two formulas. \r\nWhile the membrane stays the same in both, the backing polyester material varies in gram weight. 

L1289 is approx. 92 gsm and 57\" wide 

L2315* is approx. 50 gsm and 59\" wide
